Timbuktu Once Again!

Sunrise on the tarmac at Bamako

Our colleagues from NUAMPS are once again in Timbuktu providing some technical training to our colleagues at SAVAMA. In addition to teaching the staff in Timbuktu how to photograph more complex manuscripts and covers. These face to face visits are always important as they provide us with an opportunity to touch base and find out what issues and challenges the team in Mali is facing on a day to day basis. The good news this Monday morning is that Harlan and his team have established a live and working WiFi hub in the SAVAMA digitization studio - a first for Timbuktu. Stay informed of their activities in Timbuktu this week by visiting the NUAMPS Timbuktu blog.
