During our recent Heritage workshop held in Zanzibar, Mr. Terry Little, a senior executive at the Trust for African Rock Art in Nairobi, distributed this interesting video message (provided below) that includes a powerful message of support for the conservation of Africa’s unique rock art by former Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Kofi Annan. Aluka includes two major collections of African rock art as well as a detailed overview essay about Africa’s rock art. In the near future, we will also be supplementing these visual archives with scholarly and published research about African rock art.
